4. Purpose of processing personal data (purpose of the register)
The register stores data entered on online forms or provided to our customer service personnel. This data is used to manage the customer relationship, process messages sent on online forms if it is necessary to respond to them or if they contain requests that must be processed. The data may also be used for development; analysis; statistics; provision, offering and development of services; sales; and marketing. Customers are entitled to deny consent for their details to be used for direct marketing by informing Niemi Palvelut Oy of this decision.
5. Content of the register
The register only stores data entered on online forms or provided to our customer service personnel. The personal ID code is stored for the purpose of checking the credit rating of customers paying by invoice. The results of credit checks are not stored.
The following information can be stored to the register:
- Name, e-mail address, telephone number and title / responsibility of the person
- Company name, contact information and industry
- Information regarding customer relationships and contacts
- Web-related information on Niemi Palvelut websites and services
- Marketing and promotional information related to participating in targeted marketing activities (e.g. in competitions, raffles, and events)
- Technical information and cookies sent to a registered person’s browser and related information
6. Sources of data
The data recorded to the register is received from the customer among
other things through messages sent by filling forms on our website, by
email or telephone, through social media services, contracts, client
meetings and other situations where a customer hands off personal
information. Also, we keep track of cookies and your visit at Niemi’s
website leaves a mark (IP-address). We may purchase personal data from
external registers for nonrecurring marketing use. Also, we may collect
personal data from public sources.
7. Disclosure of
data and transfer of data outside the EU or EEA
No information for promotional purposes is disclosed to a third
party. In respect of some of our services (such as international moves)
we can use external service providers. In such a case, we may disclose
the needed information to the service provider.
We can use
service providers to process your personal information. These service
providers may have access to your personal information outside the EU /
EEA, such as the United States. We will ensure the proper and lawful
implementation of the transfers in accordance with the legislation on
the processing of personal data.
8. Security
of the
register and personal data retention period
The collected data is protected as well as can be reasonably
demanded on the internet in this context. The information system and files of the register
controller are protected using technical security methods that are standard for
corporate use. The register can only be accessed using a personal user name and
password, which are only granted to people who are employed by the data
controller and whose position or duties require access. The data controller’s
premises has access management.
Personal
data shall be retained for as long as it is necessary to retain it in
order to meet the purpose for which it has been collected in accordance
with this privacy policy. Personal data that has remained passive is
taken into account in the retention of personal data, and it is erased
on a regular basis.
9. Right to inspect the data and request corrections to the data
The data subject has the right to inspect what data concerning them
has been recorded in the personal data register and to receive a copy of
the data. The data subject must send the inspection request by email to
niemi@niemi.fi. The data subject must present the information required
for the retrieval of data in the inspection request. If necessary, the
Controller may request further information in order to identify the data
subject.
The data subject has the right to request the removal of their personal data from the register.
Also,
you always have the right to file a complaint with the appropriate
supervisory authority or with the supervisory authority of the EU Member
State where your residence or work is located if you consider that we
have not processed your personal data in accordance with applicable data
protection legislation.

We use Leadoo’s tracking service to follow what users are doing on the site and combine this behavioral data with other data we can gather from e.g. chat interactions.
