Do you need storage during a move or renovation? Niemi offers a safe and hassle-free solution for storing furniture and belongings. We pick up your belongings from your home, pack them carefully, and store them in our warehouse for as long as you need.
Storage is a flexible option, for example, between moves, during renovations, or when you need extra space in your home temporarily.
Our warm and secure storage facilities, approved by insurance companies, are located next to our offices with excellent transport connections.
Common home storage needs
Storage is a convenient solution when you need a temporary place to store your belongings. Typical situations include, for example:
- building renovations, when the apartment must be completely or partially emptied
- temporary storage during a move, when the new home is not yet ready
- home renovations, when furniture must be moved out of the way
- moving abroad or a longer stay elsewhere
- clearing out an estate
- lack of space at home, when we can store seasonal items or extra furniture, for example.
This is how Niemi’s storage works
Our moving team will arrive at the agreed time, carefully pack the items to be stored, and transport them to the warehouse. The items are packed into boxes and pallets and tightly wrapped in plastic film. The doors of household appliances are left slightly ajar to prevent moisture from forming inside them.
We draw up a packing list for all items to be stored with the level of detail you require. This helps you find the items you want quickly later on.
When you need your goods or furniture back, we will agree on a delivery time and bring them to the address of your choice.
If you want to go through your goods during storage, you can do so by making an appointment, preferably the day before. We will then bring the goods you request to a space connected to our warehouse.
How does our service differ from self-service storage?
In many other storage solutions, customers bring their goods to the storage facility themselves and are responsible for packing and protecting them. With Niemi’s service, professionals take care of the goods from start to finish.

At Niemi, you only pay for storage based on the volume of your goods and the number of days they are stored. The price per cubic meter per day starts at €0.70 (incl. VAT).
Packing and transport of goods can be invoiced either by the hour or as a fixed price. If goods are viewed during storage, a separate fee will be charged for the visit.
