The use of moving boxes speeds up your move
Rent moving boxes with carrying handles to speed up your move and protect your belongings from damage and dirt. Stackable moving boxes take up little space, are easy to move and pack in the moving truck. We machine wash the boxes after each move, so they are guaranteed to be clean. Use lockable boxes for the secure transfer of confidential documents.
Moving boxes by quantity of goods
On average, one moving box is needed per square metre of dwelling. For example, one moving box can hold about one shelf metre of books. You can order moving boxes and other moving equipment and packing supplies from our online shop, where you can also find delivery and pick-up charges and delivery times by location. You can order a low-cost home delivery and pick-up service for your moving boxes, or you can collect them from one of our branches and return them to another if necessary.
We machine wash the moving boxes after each use, so they are always clean for reuse. So you can pack not only your dishes, books and other belongings, but also clothes and bedding, for example.
Moving boxes can be stacked and also locked
The moving boxes can be stacked on top of each other to take up less space and can be moved easily with a trolley. A single trolley can carry four boxes.
Fill the box only up to the handle, and don’t leave loose papers on top, for example, to avoid being blown away by the wind.
The box can also be ordered with a lockable lid, so that confidential documents, for example, can be transferred safely to a new address.
The loading space in the moving van can be used more efficiently, for example by loading beds or mattresses directly onto the moving box stacks.
Green recycling boxes
When you buy a moving service from us, you can order green recycling boxes free of charge in addition to the red boxes. We will deliver the contents of the green recycling boxes for recycling at no extra charge.
Items that do not fit in the box, whether they are usable or in poor condition, will be sent for recycling at a low unit price.
You won’t find the green recycling boxes in our online shop, but if you order a removal service from us, we can add them to your order and deliver at the same time as the red boxes.
Frequently asked questions about moving boxes
The plastic moving box can be used again and again, and at Niemi the boxes are machine washed after each use. We have calculated that a single moving box has a lifespan of around five years and will be used by an average of 60 customers over its lifetime.
Packing in durable plastic moving boxes is more ecological than using cardboard boxes, for example, whose disposal is a burden on the environment.

We deliver the boxes on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. You do not have to be present to receive the boxes, but we can leave them in a pre-arranged place, such as a stairwell or carport.

Yes, you can pick up boxes and packing supplies from our office and return them on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Clean moving boxes are always available and no advance order is required. Boxes can be returned to a different office from the one from which they were collected. A normal car can hold around 10-15 empty moving boxes, depending on the model of car.

We will invoice you as soon as possible after the move. We can only invoice the moving boxes once they have been returned a few days or weeks after the move.

In contract-priced moves, moving boxes are included in the price, unless otherwise agreed. For hourly rate removals, the boxes are not included in the price, but are charged at the daily rate.
